This is a great recipe if you’re feeding a crowd.

What you’ll need:

1 lb (4 c) cranberries, frozen or fresh
2 c water
2 c sugar

Rinse cranberries and remove any stems or bad berries. Heat water and sugar over medium heat in a 3 quart saucepan, stirring occasionally. Continue to boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in cranberries. Return to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Continue to boil another 5 minutes or until cranberries begin to pop, stirring occasionally. Refrigerate about 3 hours or until it’s chilled through. Makes 16 servings.

Variation: To add a unique and refreshing flavor, stir in 1 Tbl grated orange peel after cooking.

frozen cranberries- $2.49
sugar - $1.99/4 lb bag
Total - $2.74
